Anonymous engineer profiles
Silicentra is designed to reduce unnecessary identity exposure while allowing relevant professional capabilities to be discovered. Here is what that means in practice.
Your visibility options
- Public — your published profile, including your name, can be seen by visitors and appears in the public engineer directory.
- Registered — your profile is shown to signed-in Silicentra users instead of to anonymous visitors.
- Anonymous — your capabilities are discoverable by companies, but identifying information is withheld from recruiter-facing views.
- Hidden — your profile is not surfaced in directories or recruiter search.
You can change this at any time from your engineer profile settings.
What recruiters can see on an anonymous profile
- experience level and total years of experience, and career level
- domains, skills, tools and protocols
- technology nodes, foundries and verification methodologies
- chip types, industry verticals and design lifecycle stages
- professional summary and non-identifying availability information you publish
- an opaque profile reference used to open your profile — not an account identifier
What is withheld
- your name and display identity
- your current and previous employer names
- your contact details
- internal account identifiers
These are not returned by the recruiter-facing anonymous profile interfaces. Anything you write yourself into a summary, project description or message is visible as written, so keep those free of identifying detail if anonymity matters to you.
Does applying or interviewing reveal me?
Applying to a role, accepting an invitation, messaging a recruiter or taking part in an interview does not automatically change your profile visibility or reveal identifying information that your visibility setting withholds. Your visibility stays under your control through your profile settings.
Companies do see the content you send them — a cover note, your messages, and the details you chose to publish. If you want a recruiter to know who you are, share that deliberately.
Limits of anonymity
Silicentra does not claim anonymity is absolute. A distinctive combination of details you publish — a specific project, an unusual skill mix, a narrow location — may let a reader infer your identity. Share at the level of detail you are comfortable with.
